Since graduating from medical school in Paris with an outstanding academic record, Dr Roger Amar went on to specialise in plastic and reconstructive surgery, dealing with trauma, burns, cancer repair and orthopaedic surgery. He followed this with 25 years of private work, during which he performed mostly cosmetic surgery procedures.

In 2002, Dr Amar founded the Amar clinic in Marbella, Spain, where he continues to treat patients from all over the world.

Over the past 15 years, Dr Amar has drawn upon his experience and expertise in the fields of aesthetic plastic surgery and cosmetic medicine to develop the FAMI procedure – one of the most innovative fat-grafting techniques available for facial rejuvenation and restoration.

Dr Amar uses his own specially designed cannulae to inject autologous adult stem cells, harvested from the patient’s own fatty tissue, into specific facial muscles and bones. FAMI is a patented procedure with proven, long-lasting results.
